Coalburn Miners’ Charitable Society and One Stop Shop has come a long way since its initial opening in 1925 as the Coalburn Miners Welfare Institute. Launched in 2000 by the coal industry social welfare organisation, the One Stop Shop offers a number of valuable services to local people, including Cruets cafe, the community shop/food cooperative, heritage centre and the Post Office.
The centre can also offer excellent conference facilities for any size of business and is equipped with a wireless network, 12 laptops, a projector and screen ( available on request), catering for up to 180 clients. A new state of the art PA system and Hearing Loop has recently been installed in the Conference suite and wedding parties etc can also be catered for.

Based in Glasgow, The Mademoiselle are a talented 3 piece band who clearly have more than one string to their bow. A studio engineer, a venue technician and a trained actor, Scott Blackwood (drums), Dave Sneddon (bass), and Tyler Collins (vocals) met through a mutual friend during their student years and have been writing and performing together ever since.
